Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship

Purpose: This program matches highly qualified graduate students with "hosts" in the legislative or executive branch located in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one year paid fellowship. Open to any student who is in a graduate or professional program in a marine or aquatic-related field at an accredited institution of higher education in the United States. Interested students should discuss this fellowship with their local Sea Grant Program Director. Focus: Marine Biology; Anthropology; Applied Sciences; Archaeology; Biology; Earth Science; Economics; Environmental Science; Marine/Ocean Engineering; Meteorology/Atmospheric Science; Oceanography; Science, Technology, and Society Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

National Marine Fisheries Service-Sea Grant Joint Graduate Fellowship in Population Dynamic and Marine Resource Economics

Purpose: Fellowships for highly qualified PhD-level graduate students interested in careers in population dynamic or economics of conservation and management of living marine resources. Support for up to three years for Population Dynamics fellowships, and up to two years for Marine Resource Economics fellowships. Application deadline is early December. Interested students should discuss this fellowship with their local Sea Grant Program Director. Focus: Natural Resources; Marine Biology; Environmental Science Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
