Purpose: This scholarship will be awarded to students who are pursuing careers as reporters or producers in the English-language television news industry. Students may major in any subject, but must demonstrate a sincere desire to pursue a career in this field. Students will be required to submit an essay and work samples. Applications must be postmarked on or before the final Friday in January of each year. Recipients will be given an opportunity to intern with ABC News. Applications available only at Web site: http://www.nahj.org. Focus: Journalism; TV/Radio Broadcasting Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Students may major or plan to major in any subject, but must demonstrate a sincere desire to pursue a career in journalism. Must submit resume and work samples. Applications must be postmarked on or before the final Friday in January of each year. Applications available only on Web site: http://www.nahj.org. Focus: Communications; Journalism; TV/Radio Broadcasting; Photojournalism/Photography Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Purpose: Two-year ($5000 annually) award for students who are pursuing careers in the newspaper industry as reporters, editors, graphic artists, or photojournalists. Students must be current college sophomores to be eligible. Recipient is expected to participate in summer internship at a Newhouse newspaper following their junior year. Students must submit resume and writing samples. Applications must be postmarked on or before final Friday in January. Applications available only at Web site http://www.nahj.org.
