National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences John Cannon Memorial Scholarship

(Four Year College/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarships distributed over a four-year period with $10,000 awarded prior to the first year of study and three additional awards of $10,000 granted in subsequent years if the recipient demonstrates satisfactory progress towards a degree in a communications-oriented program. Must submit SAT or ACT scores. Must be child or grandchild of NATAS member. Application available on the Web at: http://www.emmyonline.org/emmy/scholr.html. Deadline is February 2. Focus: TV/Radio Broadcasting; Communications Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Renewable award for exceptional high school seniors who plan to pursue a baccalaureate degree in communications with an emphasis on any aspect of the television industry. Must attend a four-year college or university. Scholarship is distributed over a four-year period, based on continued eligibility. Focus: Communications; TV/Radio Broadcasting Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
