Massachusetts Historical Society-National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship
(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Fellowship)
Purpose: Through the support of the NEH, the MHS will award either 1 long-term grant for 6 to 12 months or 2 for a maximum of 5 months. Massachusetts Historical Society Research Fellowship Program

Purpose: Research fellowships awarded each year to independent scholars, advanced graduate students, or PhDs. Stipend of $1500 provided for four weeks of research that must be conducted in the Society's archives. Some fellowships target specific topics: African-American Studies, Women's History, American Revolution. Prior familiarity with collections preferred. Focus: History; Humanities Qualif.: Applicant must be: part-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

New England Regional Fellowship Consortium Grant
(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Grant)
Purpose: The New England Regional Fellowship Consortium is a collaboration of 16 major cultural agencies. Each grant will provide a stipend of $5,000 for eight weeks of research at participating institutions. Applications are welcome from anyone with a serious need to use the collections and facilities of the organizations. The Consortium's grants are designed to encourage projects that draw on the resources of several agencies. Each award will be for research at a minimum of three different institutions. Fellows must work at each of these organizations for at least two weeks. Focus: History; Humanities Qualif.: Applicant must be: part-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
