Purpose: One-time award of $1000 in memory of David T. Woolsey provides funds for a third-, fourth-, fifth-year, or graduate student in landscape architecture from Hawaii. Must submit three 8×10 photographs of design work. Must include record of Hawaii residency. Focus: Landscape Architecture Qualif.: High school students not considered. Douglas Dockery Thomas Fellowship in Garden History and Design
(University/Fellowship)
Purpose: $4,000 Fellowship to assist graduate student with study and research at a leading American institution. Project study possibilities include investigating new techniques of garden restoration; studying how small gardens created by community groups have impacted public gardens; exploring and documenting physical, emotional and spiritual healing properties of the garden; and instigating the development of gardens that use ecological and regenerative concepts.
