National High School Journalist of the Year/Sister Rita Jeanne Scholarships
(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)
Purpose: One-time award recognizes the nation's top high school journalists. Open to graduating high school seniors who are planning to study journalism and/or mass communications in college and pursue a career in the field. Applicants must have an advisor who is a JEA member. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Submit portfolio to state contest coordinator by February 15. Focus: Journalism; Communications Qualif.: Applicant must be: 17-19 years old, full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
