(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: This program provides scholarships to female Jewish permanent residents in the NY metropolitan area for undergraduate and graduate study. Financial need and reasonableness of course of study are the primary criteria. Must study full-time in NY. Check Web site for further details: http://www.jfew.org. Qualif.: Applicant must be: female, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following religions: Jewish.

Scholarship Program for Former Soviet Union Emigres Training in the Health Sciences

Purpose: Scholarships for female emigres from the former Soviet Union who are studying for careers in medicine, dentistry, dental hygiene, nursing, pharmacy, occupational therapy, physician assistant programs, and physical therapy. Must live within 50 miles of New York City. Must demonstrate financial need and a good academic record. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences; Dental Health/Services; Nursing; Therapy/Rehabilitation Qualif.: Applicant must be: female, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to persons of the following ethnic groups: former Soviet Union.
