Health Careers Scholarship

(Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: Award for students preparing for careers in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, physical or occupational therapy, and medical technologies. Student must be a U.S. or Canadian citizen, enrolled full-time in a school accredited in the field involved and located in the U.S. or Canada. For all students, except those preparing for an RN degree, application must be for at least the third year of college. RN students must have completed the first year of schooling. Pre-medicine students are not eligible to apply. For those students seeking degrees of MD or DDS application must be for at least the second year of medical or dental school. Each applicant must supply proof of acceptance in the school involved. There is no age limit. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences; Nursing; Dental Health/Services; Therapy/Rehabilitation Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: For enrolled American-Indians. Proof of reservation registration, college acceptance letter, and financial aid office address required. Request application form by March 1 and return by April 15. Merit-based award. Send self-addressed stamped envelope. Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to the following races: Native American/Eskimo.

International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons Student Ministry Scholarship

(University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Merit-based award available to graduate students, with a minimum 3.0 GPA, who are pursuing a career in the ministry, Master of Divinity only. School or seminary must be accredited by Association of Theological Schools in the U.S. or Canada. U.S. and Canadian citizens only. Send self-addressed stamped envelope with application request. Submit cassette of two five-minute discussions. Several one-time awards ranging from $500 to $1000. Application requests accepted January 1-March 31 only. Focus: Religion/Theology Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to members of the following religions: Christian.
