IBM Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Award to encourage the growth of the information technology sector in British Columbia given to students enrolled in a British Columbia post-secondary institute. Areas of study may include computer science, computer engineering, management information systems, electrical engineering, or physics. Available to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants. Focus: Computer Science/Data Processing; Electrical Engineering/Electronics; Physical Sciences and Math; Science, Technology, and Society Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

TRIUMF High School Fellowship

(Four Year College, University/Fellowship)

Purpose: Fellowship awarded to a graduating BC high school student who will be studying the sciences at a recognized BC post-secondary institution. Includes a six-week research experience at TRIUMF, and a CAN$3000 scholarship. Available to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants. Focus: Applied Sciences; Biology; Chemical Engineering; Earth Science; Physical Sciences and Math; Natural Sciences; Science, Technology, and Society; Nuclear Science; Computer Science/Data Processing Qualif.: High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Paul and Helen Trussel Science and Technology Scholarship

Purpose: CAN$20,000 award to a new recipient each year. Student must be enrolled in the sciences and have graduated high school in the Kootenay/Boundary region of British Columbia. Student must be entering 3rd year of studies at a BC or AB postsecondary institution. Available to Canadian citizens and landed immigrants. Focus: Applied Sciences; Biology; Chemical Engineering; Computer Science/Data Processing; Earth Science; Geography; Meteorology/Atmospheric Science; Natural Resources; Natural Sciences; Nuclear Science; Physical Sciences and Math; Science, Technology, and Society Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S., Canadian citizens.
