Burlington Northern Santa Fe Foundation/Hispanic College Fund Scholarship Program

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarships ranging from $500 to $2500 are available for full-time undergraduate students of Hispanic origin who reside in any of the following Burlington Northern Santa Fe-served states: Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Missouri, New Mexico, California and Texas. Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, engineering, finance, information systems, marketing or a related major. Minimum GPA of 3.0. Focus: Accounting; Engineering/Technology; Business/Consumer Services; Computer Science/Data Processing; Economics; Engineering-Related Technologies Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to the following races: Hispanic.

Denny's/Hispanic College Fund Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: One-time scholarship award open to full-time undergraduates of Hispanic descent pursuing a degree in business or a business-related major with a GPA of 3.0 or better. Eligible students who have applied to the Hispanic College Fund need not re-apply. Focus: Accounting; Architecture; Hospitality Management; Business/Consumer Services; Chemical Engineering; Communications; Computer Science/Data Processing; Economics; Electrical Engineering/Electronics; Engineering/Technology; Engineering-Related Technologies; Graphics/Graphic Arts/Printing Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to the following races: Hispanic.

Department of Energy Scholarship Program

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarship available to full-time undergraduate students in their sophomore or junior year who are pursuing a degree in business science, engineering or DOE-related major. Must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and be available to participate in a paid internship in the summer of 2005. Focus: Electrical Engineering/Electronics; Energy and Power Engineering; Engineering/Technology; Engineering-Related Technologies; Nuclear Science; Chemical Engineering; Business/Consumer Services; Environmental Science; Materials Science, Engineering, and Metallurgy; Mechanical Engineering; Natural Resources; Natural Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Program intended for undergraduate student pursuing his or her associate's or bachelor's degree in a construction related field. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen with Hispanic background. Purpose: One-time scholarship open to full-time undergraduates of Hispanic descent who are the first in their family to attend college. Must be a U.S. citizen residing in the United States or Puerto Rico and have a minimum 3.0 GPA. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to the following races: Hispanic.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 100. Maximum no. of awards: 200. Minimum award amount: $1000. Maximum award amount: $5000.
