Hydro Power Contest

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarship awards are presented to winners in two categories of an engineering competition. Winners must design, build, and submit for testing a device that converts the potential energy contained in water into mechanical power. Contestants may compete in either power or efficiency categories, or both. Application fee is $20. Deadline is June 1. Focus: Energy and Power Engineering; Hydrology Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 6. Maximum no. of awards: 10. Minimum award amount: $500. Maximum award amount: $2500.
