Asian, Black, Hispanic, and Native American United Methodist History Research Awards

(Prize)

Purpose: One-time award promoting research and writing in the history of Asian-Americans, African-Americans, Latinos, and Native-American in the United Methodist Church or its antecedents. Submit biographical information, project description, and budget plan with application. See Web site for more information. Focus: History; Religion/Theology Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

John Harrison Ness Memorial Award

(University/Prize)

Purpose: An award of $200 (first prize) and $100 (second prize) to students enrolled in the MDiv program (or its equivalent) in United Methodist or other seminaries accredited by the Association of Theological Schools, who submit the best papers on some aspect of United Methodist history. See Web site for details. Focus: History Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to members of the following religions: Methodist.
