1040 K Race Scholarships

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarships are for African-American accounting majors who are Florida residents attending Florida colleges/universities. Applicants must be planning to sit for CPA exam and indicate desire to practice accounting in Florida. Scholarships are granted based on educational achievement, financial need and demonstrated professional, social, and charitable activities. Must be a permanent Miami-Dade, Broward, Monroe, or Palm Beach County resident.. Focus: Accounting Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens who are permanent residents of the Florida counties listed above. Award available to the following races: African American.

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Scholarships are for accounting majors who are Florida residents attending Florida college/universities. Applicants must be planning to sit for CPA exam and indicate desire to practice accounting in Florida. Scholarships are granted based on educational achievement, financial need and demonstrated professional, social, and charitable activities. Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Focus: Accounting Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time or part-time (minimum of 6 hours) student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens who are Florida residents.

Funds Avail.: Maximum no. of awards: 99. Minimum award amount: $1000. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 67 scholarship(s), totaling $126,000.
