Purpose: Available to Florida students with a GPA of 3.0 or above who will attend Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, Edward Waters College, Bethune-Cookman College, or Florida Memorial College. Purpose: Eligible Florida teachers may receive up to $5,000 for repayment of undergraduate and graduate educational loans which lead to certification in critical teacher shortage subject area. Purpose: One-time awards for full-time Florida public school employees who are certified to teach in Florida and are teaching, or preparing to teach, in critical teacher shortage subject areas. Must earn minimum grade of 3.0 in approved courses. May receive tuition reimbursement up to 9 semester hours or equivalent per academic year, not to exceed $78 per semester hour, for maximum 36 hours. Must be resident of Florida. Purpose: Reward for Florida high school graduates who demonstrate high academic achievement, participate in community service projects, and enroll in eligible Florida postsecondary institutions. There are three award levels. Each has different academic criteria and awards a different amount. Top ranked scholars from each county will receive additional $1500. Preference given to direct descendants of African-American Rosewood families affected by the incidents of January 1923. Must be Black, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Islander, American-Indian, or Alaska Native. Free Application for Federal Student Aid (and Student Aid Report for nonresidents of Florida) must be processed by May 15. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. Purpose: Scholarship provides full tuition assistance for children of deceased or disabled veterans or of servicemen classified as POW or MIA who are in full-time attendance at eligible public or non-public Florida institutions. Service connection must be as specified under Florida statute. Amount of payment to non-public institutions is equal to cost at public institutions at the comparable level. Must be between 16 and 22. Qualified veteran and applicant must meet residency requirements. Qualif.: Applicant must be: 16-22 years old, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
