Canadian Embassy Faculty Enrichment Program

(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Grant)

Purpose: Up to $5000 is available for full-time, tenured or tenure-track faculty members at accredited four-year U.S. colleges and universities. The candidates should be able to demonstrate that they are already teaching, or will be authorized to teach, courses with substantial Canadian content (33% or more). Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. Focus: Area/Ethnic Studies; Education; Canadian Studies; Economics; Political Science Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens. Award available to employees or relatives of employees within the following industries: teaching.

Canadian Embassy Graduate Student Fellowship Program

(Four Year College, University/Fellowship)

Purpose: Up to $8000 is available for full-time doctoral students at accredited four-year U.S. and Canadian colleges and universities whose dissertations are related in substantial part to the study of Canada, Canada/United States, or Canada/North America. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. Focus: Area/Ethnic Studies; Canadian Studies Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Canadian Embassy Research Grant Program

(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Grant)

Purpose: Up to $10,000 is available to full-time faculty members at accredited U.S. four-year colleges and universities, scholars at American research and policy-planning institutes, and recent PHD recipients to promote research in the social sciences and humanities with a view to contributing a better understanding of Canada and its relationship to the U.S. and the world. Must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident of the U.S. Focus: Canadian Studies; Humanities; Social Sciences; Economics; International Studies; Political Science Qualif.: Award available to U.S. citizens.
