Jim Allard Broadcast Journalism Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: This CAN$2,500 scholarship is awarded annually to aspiring broadcasters enrolled in broadcast journalism courses at a Canadian college or university. The award is given to the student who best combines academic achievement with natural talent. Must be a Canadian citizen. Focus: Journalism; TV/Radio Broadcasting Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to Canadian citizens.

Purpose: This CAN$5,000 annual award is given to a French Canadian student with broadcasting experience or who is enrolled or wishes to begin or complete a program of studies in communications, at the university level in Canada. Application deadline is June 30. Focus: TV/Radio Broadcasting; Communications; Journalism Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to Canadian citizens.

BBM Canada Scholarship

(University/Scholarship)

Purpose: This CAN$4,000 cash prize is awarded to a student enrolled in a graduate studies program, or to a student in the final year of an Honours degree with the intention of entering a graduate program in Canada. The scholarship was established to ensure that there be an investment in the development of individuals, skilled and knowledgeable in research, who may be of future benefit to the Canadian broadcast industry. Must be a Canadian citizen. Focus: Communications Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to Canadian citizens.
