John Blanchard Memorial Fund Scholarship

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Provides assistance to school library paraprofessional in obtaining preparation needed to qualify and serve as a school library media teacher in California. Applicant must be a member of the California School Library Association. Focus: Library and Information Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Jewel Gardiner Memorial Scholarship Fund

(Scholarship)

Purpose: A scholarship is awarded three times each year to an outstanding Northern California Library Media Credential student. Preference is given to first time recipients, current CSLA/NS members and applicants with teaching experience. Postmark deadlines are: August 1 for autumn, November 1 for spring, and May 1 for summer. For more details and an application see Web site: http://www.schoollibrary.org. Leadership for Diversity Scholarship

(Postgraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: A scholarship is available to a student representing a traditionally underrepresented group who will attend a Commission on Teacher Credentialing-accredited library media teacher credential program. Award available to the following races: Native American/Eskimo; Asian; African American; Hispanic.
