Illinois AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary Memorial Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicant must be an Illinois high school senior and a child of an honorably discharged veteran who served after September 15, 1940. Must submit ACT scores and IRS 1040 form. Submit high school rank and grades. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Illinois AMVETS Sad Sacks Nursing Scholarships

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicant must be a resident of Illinois and accepted for training at an approved school of nursing in Illinois. Preference given to child of deceased veteran and/or student nurse in training in the order: third-, second-, first-year student. Submit IRS 1040 form. Focus: Nursing Qualif.: Applicant must be: age 18 or older, full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicant must be an Illinois high school sophomore, junior, or senior. Provide a copy of driver's license and a copy of certificate of completion of driver's education. Qualif.: Applicant must be: 16-18 years old, full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 3. Minimum award amount: $500. Maximum award amount: $1500. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 4 scholarship(s), totalling $4,000. Illinois AMVETS Service Foundation Scholarship Award

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicant must be an Illinois high school senior. Must submit ACT scores and IRS 1040 form. Must be the child or grandchild of an honorably discharged veteran who served after September 15, 1940, or is currently serving in the military. Renewable award of $1000. Qualif.: Applicant must be: 17-18 years old, full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Illinois AMVETS Trade School Scholarship

(Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicant must be an Illinois high school senior who has been accepted in a pre-approved trade school program (a copy of an acceptance letter must accompany the application) and he or she must be a child or grandchild of a veteran who served after September 15th, 1940, and honorably discharged or is presently serving in the military. Scholarship renews for two years, paying annually $500. Qualif.: Applicant must be: 17-18 years old, full-time student. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
