Purpose: Award for student with a minimum 2.5 GPA who is at least a sophomore and attends a college or university in ASME Region IX (California, Nevada, and Hawaii). Must be pursuing studies in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology and demonstrate special interest in product development and design. Must be a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. American Society of Mechanical Engineers/First Robotics Competition Scholarship

(Four Year College, University/Scholarship)

Purpose: Seven $5,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are members of a FIRST Robotics Competition. Must be planning to enroll no later than the fall semester following high school graduation in an ABET-accredited or substantially equivalent mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology program. ASME does not accept applications directly from students for this program. Students must be nominated by ASME members involved with FIRST teams. Nomination postmark deadline: March 1.
