(Postgraduate, University/Fellowship)

Purpose: Candidates expected to have held MD degree for less than eight years. Intended to be first postclinical fellowship, but each case decided on its merits. Franklin Research Grant Program

Purpose: Applicants normally expected to have doctorate, but applications are accepted from persons whose publications display equivalent scholarly achievement. Grants not for pre-doctoral study or research. Proposals in the area of journalistic or other writing for the general readership not accepted. Deadlines: October 1 and December 1. Purpose: One-time fellowship for independent scholars, PhD or equivalent, and PhD candidates in relevant field who live more than 75 miles from Philadelphia. Must be U.S. citizen or foreign national. Phillips Grants for Native American Research

(Postgraduate/Grant)

Purpose: One-time award for graduate research in linguistics or ethnohistory of Native-American peoples north of Mexico-U.S. border. Provides funds for travel, fees, and other research costs.
