AMA Foundation National Scholarship

(University/Scholarship)

Purpose: An annual scholarship of $10,000 will be awarded to a medical student based on academic excellence and/or financial need. Students must be nominated by the office of the dean. Dean's office may nominate 1-3 students based on size of enrollment. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered.

Johnson F. Hammond, MD Memorial Scholarship

Purpose: An annual scholarship of $3,000 will be awarded to a medical student of high moral character and outstanding achievement with demonstrated interest and involvement in medical journalism. Must be enrolled at an accredited U.S. or Canadian school that grants the MD Minimum 3.0 GPA required. Must be U.S. citizen. One-time award of $2500. Focus: Health and Medical Sciences Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
