(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Prize)

Purpose: South Carolina high school oratorical contest. Participant must present oration of 8-10 minutes in duration on some phase of the U.S. Constitution. Contact adjutant for more information. Four renewable awards of varying amounts. Available to U.S. citizens or lawful residents of the U.S. Qualif.: Applicant must be: age 20 or younger . High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Purpose: Scholarship for a South Carolina resident who is a relative of an American Legion member. Must demonstrate financial need. For use at a South Carolina college or university only. Application deadline is May 1. Several one-time awards of $500 each. Qualif.: Applicant must be: full-time student. High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Funds Avail.: Minimum no. of awards: 10. Maximum no. of awards: 20. Minimum award amount: $500. No. and Amount Awarded Last Calendar Year: 10 scholarship(s), totalling $5,000.
