American Legion Department of North Dakota National High School Oratorical Contest

(Undergraduate/Prize)

Purpose: Oratorical contest for high school students in grades 9-12. Contestants must prepare to speak on the topic of the U.S. Constitution. Must graduate from an accredited North Dakota high school. Contest begins at the local level and continues to the national level. Several one-time awards of $100-$1900. Qualif.: High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

North Dakota Caring Citizen Scholarship

(Four Year College, Two Year College, University, Vocational/Occupational/Scholarship)

Purpose: One-time award for North Dakota high school juniors who participated in the Boys State Program. Must be nominated by Boys State official. Must demonstrate care and concern for fellow students. Qualif.: Applicant must be: male. High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.

Hattie Tedrow Memorial Fund Scholarship

(Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: Applicants must be a legal resident of North Dakota, a high school senior, and a direct descendent of a veteran with honorable service in the United States military. Send SASE for more information and deadlines. Qualif.: High school students considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
