Purpose: Two-year award, $70,000 annually, for MD, PhD, DO, DVM, or equivalent initiating independent research career. Must have MD, PhD, DO, DDS, DVM or equivalent when fellowship is awarded. Not intended for individuals of faculty rank. May not hold another AHA award concurrently. Option to apply for a third year.
