Lydia Donaldson Tutt-Jones Memorial Award
(Four Year College, Postgraduate, University/Grant)
Purpose: Grant to support research that identifies attitudinal and behavioral contributors to African-American academic success. Purpose is to increase the body of knowledge about African-American students who are excelling in school to help replicate that success for others. Focus may be upon student or parental variables, or both. This award is not restricted to school settings. Other organizations are eligible. Faculty/professionals from all institutions are eligible. Must pursue studies in the social sciences, education, or ethnic studies. Application deadline varies. Focus: Social Sciences; Education; Area/Ethnic Studies Qualif.: High school students not considered. Award available to U.S. citizens.
