The Scent of Magic | Themes and Characters
The two major themes are special friendships between characters and maturation or coming of age. In addition are found themes of ethical behavior and caring for others.
Willadene and Halwice embody the theme of true friendship that crosses the barrier of age but is based on trust and mutual respect for each other.
