    Doodle's older brother did not lack attention from the parents because they were giving it all to Doodle. The brother is the one who who gives Doodle the most attention as he first carts Doodle everywhere he goes in a wagon. He then teaches Doodle how to walk, and eventually tries to teach him how do do other more strenuous things like running.
