Billy Collins has confined his work in print mostly to poetry; however, he has been quick to embrace other means of communicating his work. The Best Cigarette (1993) is a compact disc reading. Collins has also published online in The Cortland Review, an electronic literary magazine that has published a number of well-known American writers. In 2002 he had an essay included in the nonfiction work The Eye of the Poet: Six Views of the Art and Craft of Poetry.
