Summary of Event
Between 1096 and 1464, some nine or ten crusades went from the West to attempt to regain control of the Holy Land. There was a Peasants’ Crusade (1096-1097), a Barons’ Crusade (1096-1204), a Children’s Crusade (1212), but one of the most colorful was the Crusade of the Three Kings (1189-1192), also known as the Third Crusade.
