Article abstract: The English bishop and Protestant reformer Nicholas Ridley worked closely with Archbishop Thomas Cranmer to consolidate the reformation of the Church of England. Through his theological writings and by his martyrdom under Queen Mary Tudor, Ridley helped to further the development of the Anglican Church.
