Article abstract: Kalicho was an Inuit abducted by explorer Martin Frobisher's{$IFrobisher, Martin} crew during the explorer's second voyage to the New World. He, along with an Inuit woman and her child, were taken to England and exhibited as curiosities from the land that Queen Elizabeth I{$IElizabeth I, Queen} designated “meta incognita.”
Kalicho probably belonged to one of the Baffin Inuit tribes, nomadic hunters and fishermen who moved throughout the region adjusting to the season and the animals they hunted. They lived traditionally in extended families...
