Erich Ludendorff

Article abstract: Ludendorff served as second in command to Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg during World War I and became the most powerful man in Germany from 1916 to 1918. In the 1920’s, he was involved with radical nationalist movements, including the Nazi movement, but eventually became too radical even for Hitler. By the mid-1920’s, he had lost his influence with conservative and radical nationalists.
