Electronic Warfare

Electronic warfare involves any military campaign or action that uses electromagnetic energy to attack, cripple, or destroy an enemy’s combat capability. The electronic warfare arsenal includes weapons such as laser-guided bombs and satellite reconnaissance that can thwart an enemy’s electronic attack and defense system by jamming electronic signals, which renders them unintelligible. Electronic weapons are also used to collect and analyze intelligence and develop electronic countermeasures.
