Background
Fifteenth century Bohemia was consumed by the explosive changes arising from the radical teachings of priest and professor Jan Hus and his followers, known as Hussites. Hus was burned at the stake for heresy in 1415, and the Hussites were soon consumed in war against crusading Catholics.
