Andrés Segovia

Article abstract: Renowned as one of the foremost concert performers of the twentieth century, Segovia is responsible for establishing the guitar as a serious musical instrument. In addition to adapting works of Mozart, Haydn, Bach, and others for the classical guitar, Segovia stimulated modern composers to write new works for his instrument.
