Andrea Pisano

Article abstract: Bronze, unknown as a medium for sculpture in Florence prior to the 1330’s, was brought to that city by Pisano, who made an important contribution to art with his baptistery door, which was to be the example to be matched and supremely surpassed during the Florentine Renaissance.
