One dramatic technique used by "Will" or William Shakespeare, is soliloquies. Soliloquies are when one player (actor) is alone on stage and is speaking aloud for an extended amount of time. This provides the audience with necessary information regarding a character's innermost feelings, thoughts or intentions, without other characters being present (which would change the storyline.) This techinique moves the plot forward, engages the audience and gives characters a chance to shine.
