Love influences Juliet's decision to marry Romeo intensely, and almost completely. She had been, until they met, essentially a faithful daughter. It seems likely given her early actions that she would have been willing to marry Paris. However, once she meets and falls for Romeo, her actions change. For one, she's willing to talk with him in a public place. Then she's willing to talk to him from her balcony at night, and then to run away with him. All of these are driven by love, or love and desire. Posted by gbeatty on May 14, 2008. |

You also have to remember that Juliet and Romeo are very young...just teenagers. At this age, they are easily swept up in their feelings for one another and they let these feelings sometimes cloud their better judgment. The power of the emotions they feel for one another overrides their senses of reason and logic. Posted by kwoo1213 on May 14, 2008. |
