For, he goes to Friar Laurence to arrange his marriage to Juliet despite her not displaying any affection towards him; in addition, he is unknowledgeable of her recent marriage to Romeo, who, of course, has her affection.
Later, however, Paris does display genuine affection for Juliet as he mourns her death and privately brings flowers to her grave. When Romeo tragically slays him, Paris's final request is to be laid by Juliet as he remains unknowledgeable of Romeo's marriage to her. The affection for Juliet that Paris displays is repaid with an affectionate act for her by Romeo, who complies with his request. Then, of course, Romeo, too, dies for love of Juliet. Thus, both Paris and Romeo love Juliet, want to marry her, and eventually die because of their love for her.
