He's not a good character nor a bad character. He's just a guy who wants a young wife. He's just needed to totally ruin everything. ^-^

Paris is a "good" character in the sense that he seems to truly love Juliet. He follows the rules of courtship by going to Lord Capulet to ask for Juliet's hand in marriage. At the end, when both Romeo and Paris think Juliet is dead, Paris is at Juliet's tomb mourning her. When he sees Romeo, Paris thinks Romeo is there to desecrate the Capulet bodies. The two men fight, and Romeo kills him. Before he dies, Paris asks Romeo to lay him beside Juliet. Paris never intentionally wants to harm anyone in the play. He just wants to marry Juliet and be happy.

No. Once Capulet has promised him he can marry Juliet, he behaves very presumptuous, acting as if they are already married.
