Romeo and Juliet | Nurse (Character Analysis)

The nurse is a servant in the Capulet household. The nurse is often interpreted as a comic foil to Juliet. (A foil is a character who through strong contrast underscores or enhances the distinctive qualities of another character.) She seems to be in higher standing than the other servants since she is a companion to Juliet, is present in private family conversations, and has her own servant, Peter.
