Richard Carl Bausch (bawsh) ranks high among the American fiction writers whose works began appearing late in the twentieth century. Bausch was born in Fort Benning, Georgia, to Robert Carl and Helen Simmons Bausch. His identical twin brother, Robert, also became a novelist.
