Religion in America | Elements of American Society Are Hostile to Religious Believers
Marvin Olasky is a journalism professor at the University of Texas at Austin and a senior fellow at the Acton Institute for the Study of Religion and Liberty. In the following viewpoint, he argues that members of America’s cultural and political elite have a negative view toward Christians and Christianity that approaches religious bigotry. While Christians in America do not face life-threatening situations that confront Christians in other parts of the world, Olasky believes they are victimized by mockery and prejudice that does not serve America well.
