   This quote reflects the extent to which individuals, indeed all of us, can have perfect vision, and "see" things accurately, but at the same time we can be blinded to certain realities by our emotions, thoughts and feelings. For example, it is clear for a detached, objective onlooker who has no involvement with the individuals concerned that one girl may like a boy. The onlooker would observe that the girl might change her way of speaking or bodylanguage to "flirt" with the boy. However, if you ask the girl, she might not be aware of what she is doing - she might have perfect sight and be able to "see" clearly, but in this instance, she would not "see" the reality of her actions. The problem of being human is that so often we do not have the objective, detached stance we need to be able to "see" properly - we are inextricably involved with the situations that we face and therefore often are blind to realities that might be clear to everyone else. If this were not the case, we would be like robots, not having any emotional involvment with our day to day situations.
