it starts with the little girl with her grand father or father and the dog jumps out of the car (they had a flat tire or something) and the dog is lost and the first night is a thunder storm the following day he meets these rabbits, really cute ones and they teach him to become a rabbit and they tell him about this hawk and that he has to be careful of the hawk because the hawk tries to get them so as they are getting carrots th hawk comes and takes one of the rabbits but i think the dog saves him and then eventually the dog gets sick and they find his home and he arrives home

OMG, the movie is called "The Seventh Brother". That is my favorite childhood movie too!!!
