First of all, you need to make sure you've got something to sell! This was the problem of the kidnappers in this tale; they took a child from a small, Southern town called Summit (which was, in fact, as flat as a pancake) because they thought parents from this region attached more value to their children (and would therefore be willing to pay more). As it turned out, they were in for a culture shock; before the end of the story the "gangsters" had to pay to give him back!
