    There is only one setting: the Younger home, and nobody lives in a bathroom. Several people live together in the small apartment, so it is probably so cramped that it feels like the size of a restroom. Maybe what you're thinking about is that they don't have their own bathroom. Their apartment building has a communal restroom, meaning that they have to share it with  tenants of other apartments, like in a dormitory.
