Ragtime Group
Question:
How does Ragtime function as a movement for social change along with what social issues are dramatised in this novel?
Im writing an essay for my english class and want to make sure im on the right track can anyone help me out with this question? This is what i think so far ragtime is used as a movement for social change along with equal rights for all social classes coalhouse walker stood up for his rights when his car was vandilized, emma gold the anarchist stood up for womens rights along with telling and showing how evalin nesbit should act the mother at the new rochelle family took in sarah and her newborn child even though during that time it was aburd to do something like that. and tahu with his littlw girl he tried to better himself from being a poor immigrant with nothig he moved up the social ladder by becoming a famous movieproducer in california.
are these examples correct? does anyone else have other examples i might have forgotten? thanks for all the help.
