Cleveland Administrations | Introduction

Introduction

Grover Cleveland was a conservative and an honest man. Many of his contemporaries shared his conservative reaction to the immense changes that the United States was going through in the last years of the nineteenth century, though few shared his honesty. He was the only president to serve two nonconsecutive terms. Throughout his life he demonstrated courage and integrity, not flinching to do what he thought was right even if what he said or did cost him popularity.
