Presidential Biographies | Bush Administration - Introduction

Introduction

A U.S. senator's son, George Bush considered politics both a personal duty and an innate privilege. Bush left his native New England for a career as a Texas oilman with an eye, always, to public service and the political future. He won the presidency in 1988, after eight years as vice president and a lifetime of Republican politics.
